About Dr. Abirna

Dr. Abirna, Naturopathic Doctor and Birth Doula is dedicated to supporting families through the transformative journey of childbirth. With a background in naturopathic medicine and a passion for holistic health, she provides compassionate care and evidence-based guidance to empower parents-to-be as they welcome their little ones into the world.

As a new mom herself, she understands the importance of feeling supported and empowered during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. During her free time, she loves to dance, practice yoga, hike the outdoors, and of course play with her energetic little one!

Dr. Abirna graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Waterloo. Her practice focuses on women’s health, fertility, prenatal and postpartum care, nurturing both mother and baby.

She is honoured to be part of your journey toward parenthood, and cannot wait support you and create a beautiful birthing experience together!

A labour and birth doula is a professional who offers continuous emotional, physical and informational support to expectant families. As licensed Naturopathic Doctors with extensive medical training, we can provide services such as acupuncture, homeopathy, and appropriate supplementation in addition to diverse physical techniques, comfort measures, and emotional support strategies.

The goal is to create a calm and supportive atmosphere, fostering a positive birthing experience. Your support is customized to align with your specific goals and requirements. From cultivating a tranquil atmosphere to aiding in pain management, we stand as your committed allies.

As advocates, we ensure your voice is acknowledged and honoured throughout the prenatal and birthing processes with transparent communication between you and your medical team, fostering a cohesive and informed birthing journey.

Naturopathic Doulas empower clients with knowledge to make informed decisions. We deliver evidence-based information on prenatal care, labor and delivery, medical interventions, and more. Naturopathic birth doulas integrate traditional doula expertise with more than 5700 hours of medical science training and the application of natural remedies.
